It makes me sad when quidditch players trash talk each other and bad mouth other teams (both in person and especially on Tumblr/Facebook/etc). Sometimes things get heated during games… but maybe things either didn’t happen how they might have appeared, or something happened in the fast pace of the game… but we have to let things go.

So glad that UVa was able to learn from it to be a better team. All the teams were awesome, and we got some awesome tips from everyone. I am still exhausted from it and I have multiple injuries, but it was worth it!!

I had to mention repeatedly I was the President of the Keele Quidditch Society, cos it kind of annoys me that they keep putting Rob down as it. I also mentioned that I worked at the World Cup just for giggles, and resisted the urge to write how terribly the volunteers had been managed there.

I wish I could actually play a tournament at 100% health though. A knee sprain is not fun to play with… So i’ll be taking a couple weeks off from Quidditch, but to play in this tournament? It was SO worth it. I gave what I had.

AND IT WAS EXCELLENT.
I lay down and covered myself in snow and pulled a Peeta, and then I stayed away from the Cornucopia and sniped one of the hidden balls instead, and just hid behind a tree. Our Gamemaker didn’t see me and so I was exempted from all her meddling until there were only 2 of us left - my Foxface tactic almost worked!

We won the tournament! Going 6-0 in the day. Maryland Flying Wizard Turtles faced Richmond in the championship game, winning first place overall in the tournament. Well done to all the teams! Thanks to Virginia Tech for hosting a fantastic tournament! We can’t wait to play more Quidditch!
