Let’s just say it was Legen…..wait for it…….DARY.

I wish I could actually play a tournament at 100% health though. A knee sprain is not fun to play with… So i’ll be taking a couple weeks off from Quidditch, but to play in this tournament? It was SO worth it. I gave what I had. 

We won 1st place, but more importantly it was a great day! We all had fun. Honestly…. I really liked how competitive it was. Teams really left it all on the field. They were physical and hard fought games. There were a couple of scuffles and some blood drawn… but this shows how tough quidditch players are. Scuffles were resolved in quickly and players left their blood and sweat on the field, despite any type of injury. Highly paid athletes should take note…

The referees were also really good for the tournament, definitely a move in the right direction!

Also, I LOVED playing VCU. I don’t even care about the scores….they were no indication. I literally had to change the way I play keeper offensively because the opposing keeper had like….a 800 foot wing span. Literally none of my moves in the red zone were sure scores during those games and I had to work hard for any goals I got and had to stay on my toes defensively. Seeing that we both had knee braces on, the assumption can be made that neither of us were at 100%, so I REALLY hope we can play VCU again in a couple months. 

In terms of my team, it’s amazing how far we’ve come since September. Our beaters were AWESOME yesterday. They did a great job. The thing i’m proud of most is the chaser/keeper group we’ve formed. If stats were taken during quidditch matches, you would see how the scoring was spread out between us. Literally EVERY player that touches the quaffle for us is a serious threat to score. Also, Ted is starting to make a name for himself as a seeker. He’s amazing.
